Job Description: 3rd Shift Sanitation Associate Position Title: Sanitation Associate 1st/2nd/3rd shift available Department: Sanitation Reports To: Sanitation Supervisor / Sanitation Lead Shift: 1st/2nd/3rd shift available (3RD PREFERRED) 1st: 5am-1pm 2nd: 1pm-9pm 3rd: 9pm-5am Position Summary: The Shift Sanitation Associate is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all equipment, tools, and production areas in the facility to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. This role is essential for preparing the production floor for next-day operations, meeting USDA, HACCP, and company sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities: • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, processing tools, conveyors, floors, walls, and drains. • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment used in poultry and meat processing. • Use approved cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in accordance with company guidelines and safety data sheets (SDS). • Conduct pre-operational sanitation tasks, ensuring all surfaces and equipment meet cleanliness requirements for inspection. • Follow all sanitation procedures, including proper chemical handling, lockout/tagout, and equipment safety protocols. • Remove waste, by-products, and debris from production areas and dispose of accordingly. • Inspect work areas after cleaning to ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, and company standards. • Report maintenance or safety issues to the Sanitation Supervisor promptly. • Maintain accurate sanitation logs and documentation as required. • Work efficiently to complete all assigned cleaning tasks before production starts. • Assist teammates and perform other sanitation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Previous experience in sanitation, food processing, or industrial cleaning preferred. • Ability to work overnight hours and in cold, wet, and humid environments. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation processes, and safety procedures is a plus. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions. • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain attention to detail. • Strong commitment to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
