Role Overview: The Financial Planning Specialist plays a vital role in developing personalized, strategic financial plans for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. As a key member of a 20+ person planning team, this position provides essential support to financial advisors by delivering thoughtful, technically sound, and client-centered guidance that drives meaningful outcomes. This is a salaried position with performance-based bonus opportunities. No sales or commissions are involved. Key Responsibilities: · Leverage eMoney financial planning software to model scenarios, evaluate strategies, and explore implementation paths. · Design clear, actionable advice tailored to client goals, applying technical knowledge of planning issues impacting individuals and closely held businesses. · Incorporate insights from subject-matter experts to enhance and refine recommendations, including tax, product and estate planning experts. · Monitor and track the progress of planning engagements, ensuring financial advisors are kept informed. · Join client meetings and present planning insights on behalf of the advisor as needed. · Champion the value of financial planning both internally and externally, helping to elevate the firm’s overall planning offering. Required Skills & Competencies: · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience · Strong understanding of the financial planning process and best practices · Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment · Exceptional communication skills · Strong presentation and interpersonal skills · Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: · 3+ years of experience preparing comprehensive financial plans · Familiarity with eMoney Advisor or similar financial planning software is a plus
