Schedule and coordinate shipments, monitor raw materials and inventory, communicate shipment status, and assist supply chain team with freight and packaging logistics.
Minimum 2 years related experience, Bachelor's degree preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency, and preferably polymers supply chain and railcar tracking experience.
Description BASIC FUNCTION Primary role is the scheduling and coordination of shipments for Bayport Polymers, monitor raw materials and shipment of customer sales orders. • Candidates must be local/within commuting distance to Pasadena, TX for consideration. RESPONSIBILITIES • Schedule rail, package, bulk, or ocean finished goods shipments out of site and/or SIT • Work with packaging facility to schedule packaging and shipment out of facility • Ensure daily switches to ensure ongoing flow of material in and out of site yard • Communicate shipment status with internal Customer Service and/or with 3rd party Sales Representative as required • Work with internal Customer Service and/or 3rd party Sales Representative on customer requests for expedited freight • Monitor raw material inventory, including tracking tank cars in and out of site and ethylene usage • Ensure shipment or pick up of scrap material from site • Capture product reclasses in SAP • Assist in resolving freight payable discrepancies • Backup Supply Chain team CORE VALUES Must exhibit and demonstrate our 5 Core Values ? Fun: Embracing our Diverse Family and Celebrating our Success QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Minimum of 2 years related experience • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or Business is preferred • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Adaptability and flexibility; ability to function in a dynamic environment • Problem solving, organization, and time management skills • Strong commitment to safety • Efficient use of Microsoft Office and SAP • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-performance team environment • Experience with polymers supply chain is preferred • Railcar tracking software experience preferred • Spanish proficiency preferred PHYSICAL CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS This position requires the incumbent to: • Follow safety requirements for the role • Wear required PPE (eye protection, noise protection, etc.) when inside plant environment, or where directed by signage • Lift up to 10 pounds • Walk safely in and around industrial areas • Work under deadline pressure within an environment that demands attention to safety and detail • Sit or stand for extended periods of time • Work at computer for significant periods of time throughout the day
