Commercial Operations & Capability Leader The position partners closely with U.S. Area Leadership to translate strategy into disciplined execution, strengthen commercial processes and capabilities, and embed consistent operating rhythms across Customer‑Facing organizations. The role connects closely with field teams to capture insights and best practices, scale learnings across areas, and support Area Leaders with analytics, clear storylines, and high‑quality materials for key decision forums , ensuring alignment between strategy, execution, and transformation priorities. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Commercial Operations & Capability Lead, are to: • Translate Area and North America commercial strategy into aligned operational and sales execution plans across Business Units and Customer Facing teams. • Establish and manage operating rhythms to review strategy assumptions, performance results, and required course corrections. • Enable consistent adoption of commercial processes through training, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Identify, codify, and scale best practices across geographies and teams to accelerate value creation. • Serve as a trusted advisor and execution partner to Area Leads and senior leadership. • Support preparation for key leadership forums (e.g., QBRs, BUL/SAL meetings, leadership reviews) through analysis, insights, storyline development, and materials. • Manage prioritization, leadership cadence, and follow up to ensure decisions translate into action. • Distill insights from squads, Customer Teams, and enablement partners into decision ready recommendations. • Develop and execute communication strategies that provide clarity and transparency to Customer Facing teams on market context, priorities, and decision rationale. • Act as a connector across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Business Enablement to align priorities and remove execution roadblocks. • Track performance versus targets, including commercial KPIs and P&L drivers, identifying risks and opportunities. • Partner with IT and enablement teams to improve CRM tools, data quality, and reporting capabilities. • Support change management, transformation initiatives, and adoption of new ways of working • Operate as a leadership development platform, demonstrating enterprise mindset, influence, and executive presence. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required; • Demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders and operating effectively without formal authority; • Strong business acumen with understanding of commercial drivers, financial trade offs, and execution discipline; • Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations; • Excellent written, verbal, and executive level communication skills; • Ability to manage ambiguity, lead change, and drive execution across function; • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed. Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred; • 4+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, marketing, commercial strategy, sales operations, or business enablement. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $139040-208560. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
