Baycrest Hospital has an opportunity for a HOUSEKEEPING AIDE Housekeeping Main Complex Position Type: On-Call / Casual Shift Type: Varies Hourly Pay Rate: $26.46 - $27.01 Bi-Weekly Hours: Varies Posting Number: 9432 Union: SEIU Service Part-Time Date Posted: November 20, 2025 Internal Closing Date: December 1, 2025 The Environmental Services Department in the Hospital consists of Housekeeping, Linen and Laundry, and other Support Services, for our clients in the Hospital. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Cleans and disinfects patient and resident rooms • Cleans and disinfects washrooms • Empties waste receptacles • Sweeps and mops floors • Cleans and disinfects nursing stations, clinical and non-clinical spaces, and public areas • Office cleaning • Vacuums carpets • Other related duties as assigned Qualifications include but are not limited to: • Current High school completion or equivalent required • Previous housekeeping experience preferred • Previous experience working with the elderly is an asset • Effective customer service, oral and written communication skills • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team Additional Benefits: • % Vacation Entitlement • Opportunity to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) • Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Program INTERNAL APPLICANTS: Current Baycrest employees must apply online through the Baycrest intranet.
