The Inventory Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of customer inventory across assigned locations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, integrity, and efficiency while optimizing the overall flow of material through the operation. The Inventory Manager plays a critical role in identifying and reducing inventory discrepancies, improving system discipline, and implementing process improvements that support operational stability. This position works closely with Operations leadership and the Continuous Improvement Manager to identify system accuracy issues and opportunities for improvement. The Inventory Manager will help drive corrective actions, support standard work development, and ensure inventory processes align with company KPIs, operational standards, and broader business objectives. The role also provides strategic direction for inventory control practices while supporting training and accountability across the operation to maintain consistent execution. • Operate safely, complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure a safe working environment. • Maintain organized and efficient work areas to support operational effectiveness. • Serve as the process owner for inventory accuracy across assigned locations, ensuring alignment between physical inventory and system records. • Directly manage Inventory Specialists across multiple sites, including training, coaching, performance feedback, and performance evaluations. • Establish clear operational objectives and monitor team performance against key inventory accuracy and operational KPIs. • Lead and manage the cycle count program, including reconciliation, variance investigation, and corrective actions. • Conduct and enforce regular physical inventory audits and system verification processes. • Partner with Operations leadership to ensure transaction discipline within the WMS, including receiving validation, location control, inventory movements, and shipping verification. • Analyze inventory data and system activity to identify discrepancies, operational risks, and performance trends impacting inventory accuracy • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve inventory issues and support operational solutions. • Maintain inventory records and prepare structured reporting to provide leadership visibility into inventory accuracy, adjustment activity, and operational trends. • Provide leadership with visibility into inventory accuracy, adjustment activity, and potential operational risks. • Support the development and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control and system transactions. • Lead or participate in operational projects, system improvements, and process initiatives that support inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. • Leverage WMS systems and available tools to improve inventory visibility, streamline processes, and support operational efficiency. • Lead or participate in operational projects, system improvements, or process initiatives as required. • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management to support operational needs. • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret operational data and translate findings into actionable improvements. • High level of system discipline and understanding of warehouse transaction integrity within WMS environments. • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers to ensure clarity and alignment. • Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. • Handles difficult or high-pressure situations with tact, professionalism, and composure. • Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing responsibilities, and efficiently resolving tasks. • Applies critical thinking and focuses on identifying root causes to drive effective solutions. • Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality. • Proactively builds knowledge and expertise about the customer to enhance service and performance. • Self-aware, adaptable, resilient, and open to change, maintaining a positive and growth-oriented mindset. • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field or equivalent experience. • Strong proficiency in WMS systems. • Advanced Excel skills, experience with analytic tools is a plus. • Proven ability to lead and develop a team while driving process improvements. • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
