We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Tax Compliance Officer to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and the ability to implement internal controls to minimize risk and ensure accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on necessary actions. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and internal policies. Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and coordinate with external auditors as required. Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and recommend tax strategies. Maintain thorough documentation of tax filings and related correspondence. Provide guidance and training to internal teams on tax compliance matters. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets by forecasting tax obligations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve tax compliance processes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, EA) preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, or related field. In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax codes, regulations, and compliance procedures. Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High ethical standards and attention to detail.
