Full Description

Overview The Technical Service Representative will be responsible for providing technical support and product knowledge to customers, as well as generating sales leads and helping to close deals. The Technical Service Representative will be able to read blueprints and have experience creating AutoCAD drawings, as well as basic understanding of Bluebeam and Revit software. Responsibilities • Provide technical support to customers, including engineering take-offs and product knowledge for cable tray systems. • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to produce product estimates. • Create AutoCAD drawings and other technical documents to support the sales process. • Develop and maintain relationships with Basor sales team, key customers, identifying new sales opportunities and helping to close deals. • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and achieve sales goals. • Prepare and present technical proposals and quotes to customers. • Serve as back up to Customer Service Representatives. • Individuals will occasionally be required to report to the warehouse to assist with operational tasks, inventory checks, or other business needs as directed. Required Skills/Abilities • Ability to read blueprints and create AutoCAD drawings. • Service-oriented and can resolve customer issues. • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be hands-on, and work as a team. Education and Experience • Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent work experience, preferably with design/electrical contractor. • 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably with the cable tray industry.
