Developing a deep, working knowledge of BASF’s extensive portfolio of personal care ingredients and their performance in various formulations, and responding promptly to technical inquiries regarding ingredient selection, usage, compatibility, and regulatory compliance. Delivering engaging presentations, demonstrations, and technical training sessions—both in-person and virtually—to enhance partner knowledge and drive ingredient adoption. Collaborating closely with the sales team to align technical support with strategic business objectives, identifying new opportunities and fostering strong partner relationships, while maintaining thorough records of technical service activities and market intelligence. Traveling up to 40% to meet with distribution partners, attend industry events, and support key sales initiatives across North America, while staying current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the personal care sector. If you... Hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline; having hands-on formulation experience in the personal care industry is a plus. Demonstrate the ability to learn and master a large portfolio of ingredients and understand their applications in personal care formulations, with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset. Have proven track record of communicating and presenting technical information effectively to diverse audiences, and are able to collaborate in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Are willing and able to travel up to 40% across the US and Canada, showing self-motivation, organization, and adaptability. Preferrably have understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the personal care sector. Have previous experience in a Distribution environment is a plus. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $113,600 - $142,000.
