Full Description

Overview Senior/Lead Product Manager Total Compensation: $180-220K + equity Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week Location: Hybrid, 3 days in our San Francisco office, 2 days remote Role Type: Full-time About Bariendo Bariendo is on a mission to cure obesity. Founded by Harvard Medical School professors, we are pioneering quick, non-surgical weight loss procedures that are 7x safer than surgery and more effective and affordable than the best medications. Our digital health platform combines telehealth, distributed clinics, and an expert care team in endoscopic weight loss to deliver lasting, affordable results for the 40% of Americans struggling with obesity. We’re growing rapidly with a vision to become the one-stop shop for obesity management, offering the most comprehensive set of interventions available online and via our distributed partner clinics. Join us to help patients reclaim their lives. About This Role We’re looking for a Senior/Lead Product Manager who is execution-oriented and thrives at the intersection of healthcare workflows, patient experience, and complex operational systems. This person will own and scale the core products that power Bariendo’s care delivery — from our patient-facing app to our internal EHR and the self-serve experiences on our website. This role reports into our CEO and is based in San Francisco. You’ll own products end-to-end and drive them from idea through launch, iteration, and scale. Your work will shape the first longitudinal care EHR built specifically for weight care, improve operational efficiency across our clinics, and build consumer-grade patient experiences that are both delightful and medically rigorous. This role is perfect for someone who has built healthcare products before, loves untangling messy systems, and can turn ambiguous needs from patients, providers, and operations into clear, elegant solutions. What You’ll Do At Bariendo’s stage, the product is the backbone of the business, powering clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, and patient trust. You’ll take full ownership of products that sit at the center of how we deliver care. Own our Internal EHR Lead completion and ongoing iteration of Bariendo’s proprietary EHR — the first longitudinal care platform built for weight care Translate provider, clinical, and care team needs into intuitive workflows and documentation experiences Ensure the EHR becomes a scalable, reliable, compliant system that reduces friction for clinicians Lead our Patient App Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our mobile patient experience Ship features that support onboarding, eligibility, education, communication, tracking, and follow-up care Create experiences that are accessible, engaging, and clinically sound Own the Eligibility & Self-Serve Web Flow Lead the patient acquisition journey from initial interest to scheduling Optimize conversion across our eligibility flow, intake forms, and self-serve scheduling Run rapid experiments to reduce friction and increase qualified patient volume Build and Maintain Internal Tools Own product development for internal operations tools that drive scheduling, routing, intake, insurance, and care coordination Partner with operations and clinical teams to improve workflows, reduce errors, and create scalable systems General Product Leadership Define product requirements, write clear PRDs, prioritize effectively, and partner closely with engineering and design Conduct UX research with patients and providers; run usability tests; validate concepts early Analyze data, partner with analytics, and use insights to guide decision-making Manage tradeoffs across clinical, operational, and consumer constraints Own roadmap development and product lifecycle from 0→1 and 1→10 What We're Looking For 5-8 years of product management experience, ideally in consumer healthcare, digital health, or wellness tech Proven experience owning full products end-to-end, not just features Background in building healthcare products such as patient apps, EHR/EMR systems, or clinical tools Strong systems thinking with ability to simplify complex clinical and operational workflows Comfortable driving execution in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. Strong UX instincts and experience conducting research with patients and providers. Technical fluency with ability to collaborate effectively with engineering on APIs, data models, and system constraints Data-driven decision-maker with experience using metrics, dashboards, and experimentation Excellent communication and PRD-writing skills; structured, clear, and concise. Ability to work from our San Francisco office 3 days/week Experience with HIPAA, clinical workflows, or healthcare privacy requirements preferred What Makes This Job Amazing Mission-Driven Work: Help patients take the first step toward a healthier life through cutting-edge, non-surgical care Tech + Product Hybrid: Work at the intersection of engineering and business strategy Compensation with Impact: Competitive base salary plus commission and equity in a high-growth startup Hybrid Flexibility: Work three days a week from our Market Street office and two days remotely Close-Knit Team: Join a lean, collaborative team where your decisions and code make an immediate difference. Collaborate with clinicians, marketing, and operations to create a seamless patient journey from first touch to post-procedure care Startup Growth: Be at the ground floor of building the most effective weight loss sales funnel in healthcare Total Rewards Competitive salary with equity in a high growth, seed-stage startup Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) 11 paid holidays, 15 personal vacation days, 10 wellness days Hybrid work, 3 days in-office 2 days remote
