SUMMARY: The Cloud Solutions Architect II position will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and support relating to the Bank's Cloud environment. The position will assist in the maintenance of development/deployment pipelines, general production support, and monitoring of various functional areas for SLA/billing/reporting metrics. The position will require cross business and IT team collaboration for automation scripting, infrastructure provisioning, and DCM (desired configuration management). Furthermore, the position will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance to members of the Infrastructure and Operations team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. • Assist in the design, and implementation support of the AWS and Azure public cloud build (connectivity, network, security, containerization, monitoring)Assist in the design, and implementation support of the AWS public cloud build (connectivity, network, security, containerization, monitoring) • Automate infrastructure provisioning to standup servers, install software and applications • Research and consult on AWS, Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure and operational solutions • Manage storage, compute efficiency, and optimization activities, including evaluating configuration of compute size, storage solutions, and other service (network services, automation, and load balancing) • Coordinate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure continuity of solutions • Interpret enterprise class assessments (objectives, data collection, analysis, and reporting against objectives) • Assist during all BCP/DR (Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery) activities (test or otherwise) • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.). • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training. • Identifies and reports suspicious activity. EDUCATION College degree or equivalent work experience, which includes practical experience in Information Technology and IT Security Experience working in, or implementing organizations and operational processes to support cloud environments (DevOps) EXPERIENCE • 2+ years of experience in strategy, design, implementation, and support of IaaS and PaaS environments, specifically those leveraging AWS and Azure storage, compute, and network technologies • 1+ years architecting and deploying multi-tiered applications • 1+ years in automation/configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation or an equivalent • 1+ years with SQL and NoSQL DBs such as SQL, MySQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift • Solid understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks • 2+ years of scripting skills in shell, Python, PowerShell (at least 2) • Experience in designing and implementing application and infrastructure monitoring (New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog, or equivalent) and logging solutions (CloudTrail, Splunk, or equivalent) • Experience with Cloud Compliance Frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, SOX) • Experience in performance tuning, including the following load balancing, web servers, content delivery Networks, Caching (Content and API) • Experience in High Availability and Disaster recovery implementations • Ability to build relationships between the customers and the team members • Ability to work independently • Self-motivated • Ability to set own goals and manage towards them • Good client presentation skills • Ability to effectively manage & mentor team members/direct reports • Strong written and oral communication skills • Candidates residing in locations within BankUnited's footprint may be given preference CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • Certifications relevant to AWS and cloud technologies (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer) preferred #GoForMore Candidates residing in locations within BankUnited's footprint may be given preference.
