Job Description: This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong Full Stack Java expertise to join the EEDS Core Technologies Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable, resilient, and cloud-native applications while playing a key role within an agile team delivering enterprise-grade solutions and platforms. Responsibilities: Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas Automates manual release activities Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance) Required Qualifications: 10+ years of software development experience with current responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead. Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications using Java and modern web technologies. Strong experience leading technical design discussions and mentoring development teams. Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern application development frameworks. Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Collaborate with senior leadership, architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define software architecture and technical solutions. Design, develop, and consume RESTful services, event-driven integrations, and messaging solutions. Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, and reference implementations. Work extensively with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis. Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards. Develop and support cloud-native and containerized solutions using Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks.
