Full Description

You’ll lead a high-performance Paid Search function managing over 13 active accounts—but this is far more than an execution role. We’re looking for a senior paid search leader who can deliver results today and build the department we’ll scale tomorrow. You’ll have direct oversight of a Paid Media Manager (focused on campaign execution) and a Marketing Funnel Architect (focused on CRO and landing pages). While you'll be hands-on in campaigns initially, your true mandate is to create the systems, talent, and infrastructure that support a world-class paid search department. Campaign budgets typically range from $10K–$30K/month. You’ll own the performance strategy and client outcomes across accounts—but your scope extends beyond performance. You’ll be expected to: • Design and improve SOPs • Build scalable cross-functional workflows • Coach and develop your team • Shape hiring plans and department structure as we grow This is a senior role for someone who can execute now but thinks like a department head. You’ll play a critical part in helping us scale from a small, effective team to an elite, scalable Paid Search function. Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Strategy & Execution • Plan and launch high-converting campaigns, primarily on Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax). • Optimize daily across a portfolio of 8–12 accounts to hit key KPIs (CPL, ROAS, CTR). • Take increasing ownership of client strategy and performance as leadership potential is demonstrated. Performance Monitoring & Reporting • Analyze data to detect trends, surface insights, and proactively fix issues. • Deliver clear, actionable monthly reporting for clients and internal teams. • Run structured A/B tests across ads, bids, and landing pages in collaboration with the Funnel Architect. Collaboration & Communication • Partner with account managers, creatives, and other strategists to align messaging and performance goals. • Join client calls/emails as needed—especially when performance shifts or growth opportunities emerge. • Translate complex campaign data into plain-language recommendations that shape business outcomes. Departmental Growth & System Building • Improve internal processes to make the Paid Media function smarter, faster, and more scalable. • Build repeatable systems and contribute directly to playbooks, SOPs, and team-wide standards. • Collaborate with leadership to define how the Paid Media team grows (headcount, structure, tech stack). • Mentor junior talent and help define future hiring profiles as we scale. Requirements Experience • 7-10 years managing Google Ads with considerable B2C lead generation experience • $250+ monthly ad spend under direct management • Demonstrated ability to improve both CPL and lead quality • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g. with designers, devs, or CRO strategists) Must-Have Technical Mastery • Expert-level experience in Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax), conversion tracking, budget pacing, naming structure discipline. • Fluency with GA4, GTM, and call tracking tools like CallRail or Call Tracking Metrics. • Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas). • Looker Studio or similar for dashboards. Strategic & Analytical Strength • Able to isolate high-leverage optimizations across a diverse account mix. • Comfortable building media plans and forecasting performance scenarios. Project Management & Communication • Clear, professional written English—your ad copy must be client-grade. • Organized under pressure; confident juggling multiple high-value accounts.
