As a Sr. Analytics Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of our analytics ecosystem. This position combines advanced data visualization, analytics enablement, and data engineering. You will work alongside the Visualization team, Data Engineering team, and internal stakeholders to develop reporting solutions powered by our unique data pipeline. Successful candidates will excel in creative problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and independent thinking on how to use data to address challenges faced by our customers. What You’ll Do: Design, build, and optimize advanced Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and data products for high-performance analytics. Define Tableau visualization standards, style guides, and reusable templates. Design, optimize, and manage data pipelines essential for supporting reporting solutions. Implement dashboard performance tuning, extract optimization, and best practices for Hyper. Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, and Business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments to ensure high-quality deliverables. Support a variety of business-aligned projects to meet organizational objectives. Establish yourself as the go-to technical expert on the reporting components of our product suite. Explore opportunities to enhance workflows through AI or automation tools (e.g., document summarization, task routing, or data parsing). Identify repetitive tasks and partner with team leads to implement scalable automation solutions. What Success Looks Like… In 3 months… Become familiar with our reporting offerings and key customer use cases. Gain a strong understanding of our data pipeline and architecture. Start building strong, collaborative relationships with your peers on the Analytics team. Identify at least one opportunity in your role to pilot or apply AI or automation (e.g., streamlining a task, summarizing data, generating content). In 6 months… Expand your scope of influence to include other cross-functional stakeholders, including—but not limited to—product, engineering, marketing, and other key business area functions. Develop new reporting pipelines and capabilities that align with user needs. Build strong, collaborative relationships with peers on the Analytics team. In 12 months… Establish yourself as the technical expert on reporting components of our product suite. Collaborate across different business areas to deliver analytics that enhance decision-making and provide greater value to the company. Provide insights and guidance on improving reporting and boosting efficiency. What You Need: 7+ years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and related roles. A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as mathematics, economics, computer science, or statistics, is required; an advanced degree is a plus. Expert-level proficiency in Tableau (dashboard creation, data source optimization, calculations, performance tuning). Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift (or similar MPP databases). Experience with ETL/ELT development and data transformation workflows. Experience with Python, dbt, or other ETL automation/orchestration tools. Experience working in cloud-based data ecosystems, preferably with AWS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions. Strong communication skills, with experience influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows. A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies. Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments. Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions. The ability to travel periodically for work.
