Director, Investor Relations Reports to: VP, Investor Relations Location: Carmel, IN We are seeking a Director who brings steady execution, clear communication, and a strong sense of ownership to BAM Capital’s investor experience. This role manages daily servicing and communication, supports the quarterly reporting process, and handles complex investor situations with sound judgment. The Director also plays a key role in improving our Investor Relations program by developing initiatives that strengthen servicing, communication, and long-term investor engagement. Core Responsibilities Investor Experience Ensure investors receive a clear, confident, high-quality experience throughout their investment lifecycle. • Serve as a primary point of contact for investors, addressing questions and issues with accuracy and professionalism. • Handle complex or sensitive situations with judgment, clarity, and a calm presence. • Ensure onboarding, servicing, and ongoing communication are consistent, timely, and internal processes are well-run. • Maintain clean documentation and complete follow-through across CRM and internal systems. • Deliver communication that reinforces confidence and reflects a high-touch, professional standard. Program & Initiative Leadership Strengthen and evolve the IR program by developing and improving the initiatives that enhance investor experience and scalability. • Lead multi-step, cross-functional Investor Relations projects and initiatives with clear structure and accountability. • Partner with the VP of IR to identify needs and develop processes, touchpoints, and servicing improvements. • Identify gaps or opportunities in servicing or communication and propose solutions that elevate the investor experience. • Examples include onboarding enhancements, investor segmentation, new lifecycle touchpoints, and investor-portal improvements. Investor Communication & Reporting Ensure IR communication is accurate, internally aligned, and investor-appropriate. • Lead the full quarterly investor reporting process, including gathering, validating, and organizing property and fund level data in partnership with Asset Management, Finance, and leadership. • Own the reporting quality review to ensure numbers, narratives, and timelines are correct. • Support the VP of IR in shaping the substance and clarity of investor-facing materials developed by Marketing, ensuring messaging aligns with investor needs and IR standards. • Oversee investor-facing content for accuracy and fit with BAM’s investor voice. • Provide tailored, white-glove communication to VIP investors where needed. Executive Leverage & Cross-Functional Coordination Act as a structured, reliable partner to the VP of IR. • Translate strategic direction into actionable plans with clear owners and timelines. • Represent IR in meetings and cross-functional projects. • Prepare clean, decision-ready summaries and recommendations for leadership. • Anticipate issues before they escalate and drive solutions proactively. • Increase leadership bandwidth by taking on operational responsibility and driving work forward reliably. Team Leadership & Capability Development Help build a high-performing IR team equipped to deliver consistently strong investor experiences and outcomes. • Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and clarity for IR Associates to ensure consistent execution. • Set and model expectations for communication quality, accuracy, and professional judgment. • Strengthen the team’s capability by improving processes, sharing knowledge, and helping others operate more independently. • As the team grows, take on people-management responsibilities and develop the skills and judgment of those who will report to you. Qualifications Required • 5-7 years in client-facing, high-accountability roles within investor relations, wealth management, private markets, alternative investments, or financial services. • Strong comfort with investment and financial concepts, such as passive investments and basic tax implications for LPs. • Strong operator with experience owning, managing, or improving structured client servicing workflows. • Demonstrated project/program management experience, with evidence of leading multi-step initiatives, managing timelines, and coordinating across teams such as finance, marketing, capital markets, and executive leadership. • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, investor-ready language. • Judgement and clarity in handling complex or sensitive client scenarios. • High EQ, professionalism, and confidence in working with sophisticated clients or investors. Preferred • Experience with alternative investments, private credit, or real estate investment. • Familiarity with self-directed IRAs or retirement-account investment flows. • Experience supporting or producing fund or asset-level reporting. • Experience improving CRM or portal workflows, investor data hygiene, or reporting accuracy.
