5+ years in finance or fintech product roles, knowledge of CRM platforms, hedge fund operations, and a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Role Overview: The Business Development Product Management team works across business and technology at BAM to deliver the next generation of Analytics and Competitive Intelligence to Firm leadership. Our team is responsible for the full product lifecycle, from sourcing idea, user research, solution design, specifications, and adoption metrics. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help us expand our Business and Competitive Intelligence platform and deliver consistently high-quality products in a rapidly growing business. The Product Manager will work on our internal Business Development and Analytics platforms to deliver competitive intelligence and actionable insights to business heads and senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a passion for solving business problems with technology, high acumen and interest in analytical problem-solving, the ability to effectively translate across business and technical stakeholders and is genuinely curious about the intersection of finance and technology. Responsibilities: The Business Development Product Manager will, among other things: · Source new product ideas from end users and their own depth of experience · Innovate creative and efficient ways to solve problems · Research, design, and prototype new features, applications, and processes for business and competitive intelligence. · Develop relationships with investment team leaders, business development, and senior leadership to understand what our users want from the business and competitive intelligence offering, as well as understanding their goals to help creative innovative solutions · Roadmap our products and prioritize the simultaneous development of large, strategic initiatives alongside tactical projects and product enhancements · Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve product designs and clarify requirements · Ensure the quality and accuracy of all products released to the investment staff · Work with users to integrate new tools and features with a focus on workflow automation, reporting, and analytics for relationship management and strategic talent acquisition. · Introduce our tools to new members of the business and provide coaching on how best to leverage all the tech we provide Qualifications & Requirements: · 5+ years of experience in finance or financial technology with an emphasis on building intuitive and innovative products · Knowledge of Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms - Knowledge of hedge fund operations, recruiting, and FP&A workflows · Degree (or equivalent experience) in finance, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or similar · A track record of delivering innovative product solutions in the Business or Competitive Intelligence domain · Strong ability to build relationships with sophisticated end users, development teams, and other key stakeholders · A passion for technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems of all sizes Bonus Points For: · Familiarity with hedge fund investment strategies · Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence platforms · Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
