Manage SNF billing and collections, maintain resident data and accounts receivable, prepare financial reports, and support compliance and budgeting processes.
5+ years SNF Medicare and Medicaid billing experience, knowledge of LTC billing regulations, billing software proficiency, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
Description: • Work directly with project managers and clients in relation to SNF billing and collection services • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SNF reimbursement including Medicare and Medicaid (MD, OH, PA, WV) • Maintain resident data processes including resident statement accuracy, review of resident aging, payment posting, ancillary charge entry and file downloads and timely billing • Manage accounts receivable accounts and follow-up of unpaid balances • Adhere to financial/facility policies and participate in facility programs as needed • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues • Maintain documentation of accounts receivable transactions • Assist with yearly budget preparation and month end close process • Provide facility representative monthly financial information and prepare monthly accounts receivable reports • Assist in preparation of accounts receivable reports for submitting Medicare/Medicaid cost report • Attend and participate in continuing education programs and assist in establishing compliance programs • Learn and grow from coaching, mentoring, and firm development programs Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or business related is field preferred • Experience in lieu of a degree may be accepted • Currently in billing position role with 5 years billing experience • 5 or more years of experience in SNF Medicare and Medicaid (MD, OH, PA, WV) billing required • Knowledge of LTC billing regulations for Medicare and Medicaid preferred • Experience using the Medicare system for billing and the ability to interpret reports and remits • Experience using billing software (i.e. PointClickCare, MatrixCare, etc.) • Knowledge and experience using Medicaid systems and websites • Working knowledge of SNF billing and collections • Position subject to Criminal Background Investigation • Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, and working collaboratively in a team environment • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred Benefits: • Upward career trajectory • Flexibility in how and where you get your work done • Meaningful relationships with clients, teammates and leadership • Firm wide learning and development programs • Friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balance
