Provide legal advisory and crisis management services related to privacy, cybersecurity, and AI law within a global law firm environment.
3-5 years of legal experience in privacy/cybersecurity law, active Bar membership, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse global team.
Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Data & Cyber practice in the Chicago, Dallas, or New York offices. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of privacy, cybersecurity, and/or AI experience at a large or specialized firm, including advisory (e.g., state and federal privacy laws, DOJ outbound data transaction rule, state AI laws and regulations, and the like), and/or crisis management (e.g., responding to ransomware or other cybersecurity incidents and/or a government inquiry inquiries). Experience in all areas not required, but ongoing active interest in privacy, cybersecurity and AI law work is expected. Major law firm experience is a plus. Candidates must have strong analytical and writing skills, exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills and the ability to function smoothly in a global-team environment with culturally diverse team members. Additionally, candidates must be admitted and a member in good standing of the Bar in the state of employment. The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $260,000 to $365,000 annually. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
