Account Supervisor, Public Relations – Pork We’re looking for a Pork Industry PR expert at Bader Rutter who is smart, organized and client savvy. If you love crafting strategic PR plans, collaborating across disciplines, creating content and turning insights into action – all in the pork industry, this role is your next great opportunity. You’re equally comfortable pitching a story, analyzing results, and fine-tuning messaging so it hits the mark. What You’ll Do • Develop and execute data-driven communications plans that support your clients’ business goals. • Plan and create sales enablement resources, including technical information, brochures and one-pagers, emails and talking points. • Lead day-to-day public relations activities, from writing media materials to managing media outreach and event support. • Monitor, measure, and report on earned and paid program results—using insights to optimize and improve. Media monitoring platform experience is a plus. • Serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams, delivering clear communication and proactive recommendations. • Contribute to strategic planning, including research, ideation, and identifying new opportunities to drive engagement. • Loves to partner with the creative team and has a passion for turning big ideas into reality that moves people, moves markets and makes headlines. What You Bring • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 7 years in journalism, PR, communications, or a related field. • Background in agriculture—especially the pork industry—with additional knowledge of animal agriculture or the food industry considered a plus. • Proven experience managing media relations, content marketing, and reporting. • Outstanding organizational and time management skills—you can juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat. • Possesses critical thinking skills, a strategic mind and the drive to deliver great results • You love earned media, have gumption, and love collaboration. • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to guide projects forward. • Has a deep understanding of PR tools (e.g. Muckrack, Cision, PR Newswire) and reporting tools and utilizing data + analytics to create regular recaps and reports for clients • A passion for learning, curiosity about your clients’ businesses, and a drive to grow your skills. Location: Open to candidates based in the Midwest. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. Salary Range: $70,000-85,000 annually The provided salary range is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this hire. The actual salary offered will be influenced by candidate experience and other job and market-related factors.
