About the Role We are hiring a Handyman Technician with strong experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting. This role supports multiple residential buildings, and the candidate must have a reliable car, as the position requires traveling and rotating between the following locations: Rotation Areas: • Whippany, NJ 07981 • Plainfield, NJ 07060 • Wharton, NJ 07885 • Teaneck, NJ 07666 • Carteret, NJ 07008 • Livingston, NJ 07039 Training begins December 15, and the project officially launches early January. Key Responsibilities • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas. • Perform daily maintenance tasks such as trash removal, recycling, and general grounds upkeep. • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. • Complete apartment turnovers and punch lists. • Handle general cleaning, painting, caulking, and repair tasks. • Troubleshoot and repair appliances, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, HVAC units, mechanical equipment, flooring, and carpentry issues. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff. • Maintain accurate records using the property’s Maintenance Management/Building Systems software. • Collaborate with team members and vendors to complete tasks efficiently. • Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment. Requirements • Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Technician. • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting (required). • Reliable vehicle required for rotation between cities. • Ability to speak English. • Clean background check. • Valid driver’s license preferred. Schedule & Compensation • Start: Training begins December 15 • Hours: 40 per week • Compensation: $23.00 per hour + mileage reported every 2 weeks Why Join Us?
