Aya Healthcare is seeking an Experienced Call Center Patient Services Representative in Torrance for a 13 week contract role!! • **MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE ONYOUR RESUME*** • *This role will start in Mid or late October** Job Title: Call Center Patient Services Representative Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm Hourly Pay: $24-$26 Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension Onboarding Time: 2-3 weeks Job Summary The Call Center Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by serving as the first point of contact for patients. This position is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process, handling questions, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical administrative support role, familiarity with hospital operations, and proficiency in relevant software systems. Required Qualifications: • Minimum - 1 year of recent experience working in a call center for outpatient clinic or medical office setting • 2+ years of recent experience working as a Patient Services Representative • 1 year of experience using Epic • High call volume experience - Minimum 100 calls per day. • Understanding of medical terminology • Experience with medical insurance verifications, referral processes, appointment coordination and benefit plans • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions Job Duties: • Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone • Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate • Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments • Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic • Schedule appointments and complete patient registration • Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types • Handle patient/provider correspondence • Explains polices, procedures, or services to patients • Sanitize workspace using provided supplies and following department guidelines This position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to patient experiences while working within a dynamic healthcare team.
