Job Title: Director, US Commercial Operations Location: Remote (Central US preferred with easy access to Kansas City and Nashville) Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer, Axiota USA (member of US Leadership Team) Department: US Commercial Position Summary: The Director of Commercial Operations will lead and optimize core commercial functions including sales operations, sales training, distribution management, performance reporting, and oversight of a small but high-impact inside sales team. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, enabling scalable growth, and ensuring alignment between sales strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities: Sales Operations Leadership & Reporting • Manage and mentor a small sales operations team focused on order fulfillment, CRM, and Power BI oversight • Lead sales operations strategy, including territory planning, quota setting, and incentive design. • Own the development and delivery of sales performance dashboards, forecasting models, and executive team and Board reporting. • Ensure consistent execution of promotional programs, co-op marketing, and sales incentives in collaboration with Axiota and distributor field teams. • Partner with Finance, Marketing, and IT to ensure data integrity and alignment across systems (CRM, ERP, BI tools). Distribution Management • Oversee end-to-end distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products/services. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and third-party logistics providers. • Build and execute annual business plans for each distributor, aligning growth targets, inventory planning, and coordination with marketing on program strategies • Coordinate with Sales Directors to support and increase field engagement, product trainings with distribution, and program implementation • Monitor KPIs related to inventory, fulfillment, and delivery performance; implement continuous improvement initiatives. Inside Sales Team Leadership • Manage and mentor a small inside sales team focused on lead qualification, customer engagement, and revenue generation. • Set clear performance goals and provide coaching to drive individual and team success. • Collaborate with field sales and marketing to optimize lead flow and conversion. Sales Process and Training Development: • Design, implement, and continuously improve standardized sales processes across teams. • Develop training programs and materials to support onboarding, skill development, and performance enhancement. • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to ensure alignment between process, tools, and team capabilities. Required Experience and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. • 8+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or distribution management. • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and inside sales. • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM and BI tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau). • Deep understanding of the U.S. animal health market, especially distributor and channel dynamics, preference for candidates with previous experience in the cattle industry. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment • Strategic thinker and problem-solver, with a hands-on approach to execution. • Ability to travel up to 40%, including visits to Nashville (CCO office) and Kansas (Sales Ops team office), quarterly US Leadership Team meetings, and distributor national sales meetings.
