Role Overview: As a Part Time Technical Data Center Operations Support team member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our data center facilities. Working under limited supervision, you will ensure that technical systems are monitored, maintained, and supported to meet operational standards and client expectations. What You'll Do: - You will monitor data center systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - You will perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software components. - You will respond promptly to alerts and incidents, providing technical support to resolve issues. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment and software. - You will maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, incidents, and maintenance activities. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and operational improvements. - You will participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed. - You will travel locally to client sites up to 10% of the time to support operations. What You Bring: - You have at least 2 years of experience in data center operations or technical support roles. - You possess strong knowledge of data center hardware, networking, and system monitoring tools. - You have experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. - You demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. - You are comfortable with flexible scheduling, including alternating work weeks and on-call duties. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or similar. - Previous experience working in a managed services or IT support environment.
