Role Overview: As a Part Time Technical Data Center Operations Support team member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our data center facilities. Under limited supervision, you will support technical operations, ensuring system reliability and uptime while responding promptly to any issues. What You'll Do: - You will monitor data center systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. - You will perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software components. - You will respond to alerts and incidents, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment. - You will maintain accurate documentation of operations, incidents, and maintenance activities. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and upgrades. - You will participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed. - You will travel locally to client sites up to 10% of the time to support operations. What You Bring: - You have at least 2 years of experience in data center operations or technical support roles. - You possess strong knowledge of data center hardware, networking, and system monitoring tools. - You have experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced environment. - You demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - You are able to work independently with limited supervision and manage your time effectively. - You are flexible to work a part-time schedule with varying days and participate in on-call duties. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with specific data center management software or platforms. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or similar. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Previous experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
