Role Overview: As a Collections Representative at Axelon Services Corporation, you will play a critical role in managing hospital accounts receivable by effectively collecting outstanding payments. Your expertise in hospital collections will help ensure timely revenue recovery and support the financial health of our client institutions. What You'll Do: - You will manage and follow up on outstanding hospital accounts to ensure timely collections. - You will communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and hospital staff to resolve billing issues. - You will analyze account information to identify discrepancies and resolve payment disputes. - You will maintain accurate records of collection activities and update account statuses. - You will collaborate with internal teams to improve collection processes and patient satisfaction. - You will adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to healthcare collections. - You will provide detailed reports on collection progress and challenges to management. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of recent collections experience specifically in a hospital setting. - You possess strong knowledge of hospital billing systems and healthcare reimbursement processes. - You have excellent communication and negotiation skills. - You are detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - You are proficient in using collections software and Microsoft Office applications. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations such as HIPAA. - Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
