Role Overview: As a Collections Representative at Axelon Services Corporation, you will play a critical role in managing and recovering outstanding hospital accounts. Your expertise in hospital collections will ensure timely and accurate resolution of patient balances, contributing to the financial health of our client institutions. What You'll Do: - You will manage and follow up on outstanding hospital accounts to ensure timely collections. - You will communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff to resolve billing issues. - You will analyze account information to identify discrepancies and resolve payment disputes. - You will maintain accurate records of collection activities and patient interactions. - You will collaborate with internal teams to improve collection processes and patient satisfaction. - You will adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare collections. - You will provide regular reports on collection status and performance metrics. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of recent collections experience specifically in a hospital setting. - You possess strong knowledge of hospital billing systems and healthcare revenue cycle processes. - You have excellent communication and negotiation skills. - You are detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - You are proficient in using collections software and Microsoft Office applications. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations such as HIPAA. - Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment. - Additional certifications in healthcare finance or collections.
