Role Overview: As a Collections Representative at Axelon Services Corporation, you will play a critical role in managing hospital accounts receivable by effectively collecting outstanding payments. Your expertise in hospital collections will help ensure timely revenue recovery and support the financial health of our client institutions. What You'll Do: - You will manage and follow up on outstanding hospital accounts to ensure timely payment. - You will communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and hospital staff to resolve billing issues. - You will analyze account information to identify discrepancies and resolve payment delays. - You will maintain accurate records of collection activities and update account statuses. - You will collaborate with internal teams to improve collection processes and patient satisfaction. - You will adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to healthcare collections. - You will provide detailed reports on collection progress and challenges to management. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of recent collections experience specifically in a hospital setting. - You possess strong knowledge of hospital billing systems and healthcare revenue cycle processes. - You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. - You are detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently. - You are proficient in using collections software and Microsoft Office applications. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems. - Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and compliance standards. - Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment. - Additional certifications related to healthcare collections or revenue cycle management.
