Role Overview: As a Collections Representative at Axelon Services Corporation, you will play a critical role in managing hospital accounts receivable by effectively collecting outstanding payments. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in hospital collections to ensure timely and accurate resolution of patient and insurance balances. What You'll Do: - You will manage and follow up on hospital accounts receivable to ensure timely collections. - You will communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and hospital staff to resolve billing issues. - You will analyze account information to identify discrepancies and resolve payment disputes. - You will maintain accurate records of collection activities and update account statuses. - You will collaborate with internal teams to improve collection processes and patient satisfaction. - You will adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to healthcare collections. - You will provide regular reports on collection status and performance metrics. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of recent collections experience specifically in a hospital setting. - You possess strong knowledge of hospital billing systems and healthcare revenue cycle processes. - You have excellent communication and negotiation skills. - You are detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - You are proficient in using collections software and Microsoft Office applications. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations such as HIPAA. - Previous experience in a fast-paced hospital environment. - Additional certifications related to healthcare collections or revenue cycle management.
