Salary: Depends Upon Experience Shift/Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shifts Training: Training will be on Day Shift (6 Months) Job Description The Resin & Dispersion Supervisor is a 12-hour shift supervisor role that will manage daily production activities within the Resin and Dispersion departments. The Supervisor will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, productivity, and people’s engagement in both areas. Further, this position will report to the Resin & Dispersion Unit Manager. Duties • Manage and lead a group of over 15 production operators across both Resin and Dispersion departments • Ensure AOE Tier 1 meetings are ran daily per guidelines and expectations. Follow up on RAIL items and escalate up to Tier 2 meetings as needed/directed • Follow production schedule while communicating any deviations and or issues attaining it • Communicate any safety and/or quality incidents to site leadership. Perform root cause analysis on incidents and put actions in place to prevent future occurrences • Follow up and communicate with production employees in both departments on a regular basis to understand issues, provide guidance, and provide accountability for deviations to procedure and expectations • Complete corrective action with employees as needed when deviations to policy, procedure, or expectation occur • Complete shift attendance and payroll in accordance with Axalta policy • Participate in and complete any projects or activities directed by site leadership • Commitment to the highest of ethical standards and adherence to all regulatory, environmental, and Axalta processes • Cultivate a strong team culture by enhancing and building highly effective and collaborative cross-functional relationships throughout the business. • Through integrity and dependability, build relationships at all levels to help support change initiatives that help teams deliver value. • Continuously identify ways to improve by engaging with staff and bringing perspective on new ideas. • Provided continuous training, coaching, and development of site personnel. Recognizes growth opportunities for high potential talent at the site and works with leadership team to develop career paths and mentor employees. • Capitalizes on new knowledge by sharing and/or implementing best practices with a focus on standardization across the entire organization (Axalta as a whole). • Has the authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of non-conformance (safety/regulatory issue, customer requirements, etc) Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or process related experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience within an industrial manufacturing environment; in lieu of degree, 5+ years supervisory experience is required. • A proven understanding of Quality Systems, process control systems, and laboratory testing process for resins is preferred.
