Job Summary: The Product Owner is a key liaison between market needs and delivery of a solution. In this role, the Product Owner owns the backlog end-to-end—writing clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating with engineering and UX, and leveraging AI tools to work efficiently at scale. Duties and Responsibilities: * Independently manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the team always works on the highest-impact work * Author well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Rovo) to produce and refine backlog artifacts efficiently and at scale * Design and maintain reusable prompt templates for recurring PO tasks — story generation, acceptance criteria drafting, refinement prep — so AI-assisted output is consistent and team-ready * Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities * Confirm that executed stories comply with Neumo’s Definition of Done * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product releases * Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate requirements into actionable backlog items * Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and drive continuous improvement * Ensure product decisions align with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities * Work closely with senior leadership to inform product strategy and provide updates on product progress and milestones * Monitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metrics * Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience: * 3+ years' experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Product Owner or Business Analyst role * Public sector software or familiarity with judicial systems is a strong differentiator * Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma; experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Copilot) to accelerate story creation and analysis; * Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, middleware, services, and SQL Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Proficiency in prompt engineering as applied to product work — structuring context-rich, role-specific prompts that generate well-formed epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, and iterating on prompts to achieve alignment with Definition of Ready/Done * Strong written communication skills and client presence; able to translate effectively between technical and business audiences * Ability to create epics, user stories, user journeys, wireframes, and basic diagrams to convey ideas * Able to juggle multiple competing priorities * Ability to persuade, encourage and motivate others to beat deadlines Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer Physical Demands: * Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine * This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office * The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone Neumo Summary: With the backing of four decades of public sector expertise and corporate capability, Neumo has successfully supported government services.
