Description The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of a facility, its personnel, and its assets by implementing security protocols and responding to incidents. Responsibilities: Security Protocol Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Surveillance and Inspections: Conduct regular security inspections and surveillance activities to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the facility. Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary. Access Control Management: Monitor access control systems, issue identification badges, and manage visitor logs to regulate facility access effectively. Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to employees on security awareness and best practices for maintaining a safe workplace. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate security reports and documentation, including incident reports and security audits. Collaboration: Work with management and other departments to develop and implement security enhancement projects and ensure a secure environment for all employees and visitors. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications preferred. Proven experience in a security role, preferably within a corporate or industrial setting. Strong understanding of security systems and protocols, excellent observational skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Certification in security management or a related field (e.g., CPP, PSP) is preferred. May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
