Job Overview The Team Lead is responsible for guiding and managing a team of Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators. Reporting to a Team Manager or the Head of Operations, this role plays a pivotal part in fostering team growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and aligning daily tasks with company goals. This role is part of an internal specialization track designed to provide growth opportunities in areas aligned with the individual's strengths and interests. The aim is to cultivate strong leadership, foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, and build trust and loyalty among team members. The ideal candidate brings excellent communication and leadership skills, a proven track record in project management within the localization industry, and a passion for driving team performance and success. Focus of responsibilities: • 50% leading the PM/PC team and helping them grow as professionals • 25% strategic thinking and identifying improvement opportunities • 15% monitoring the team’s goals and KPIs to ensure the company’s success • 10% supporting project management and coordination efforts when needed This is the goal throughout the year, flexibility may be required during specific periods of the year such as: • Hiring and training of new PMs • People development, quarterly review of OKRs as well as start and end of year Responsibilities • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring that everyone understands their responsibilities and priorities. • Get to know each team member’s strengths and areas of improvement • Understand how each PM/PC can contribute to the company’s goals and objectives and guide them to achieve that • Give feedback regarding their work, performance and customer service • Monitor the progress of individual OKRs with each team member throughout the year • Handle and escalate feedback received towards team members as needed • Lead by example in following AP values (Empathy, Opportunity and Rigor) • Ensure that project managers and coordinators follow internal processes and quality standards, as well the best practices for all services AP provides • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or risks that arise, escalating them as necessary • Ensure the highest customer service standards are met on daily basis • Conduct and monitor initial training of new team members, as well as their performance in this critical period • Ensure a balanced workload distribution among the team • Monitor workload distribution and balance within the team based on data and personal observation • Identify work overload and underperformance, and work on a redistribution when necessary • Distribute and delegate work when a PM/PC is out of the office or unavailable • Make sure back-ups are established and trained for active accounts • Provide feedback to the Head of Operations on the individual performance of each team member and the needs of the team (hiring, training, direction, attitudes, friction) Competencies and Qualifications • High proficiency level in English • Excellent people and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage stressful situations from a high-level perspective and help others work through challenges with resilience. • Excellent collaboration, planning, and organizational skills • Leadership and supervisory skills • Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment • Ability to multitask • Ability to take initiative in resolving queries/issues through sound decision-making What we offer • Joining a vibrant multicultural team spread across the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe • Professional development and growth opportunities in the localization industry • Training in new tools, technologies, and processes • Energetic, multicultural, and empathetic working environment
