Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for potential tenants while maximizing occupancy rates. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent customer relationship management abilities, and a thorough understanding of property maintenance and leasing laws. Duties • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants. • Assist in the application process, including screening applicants and verifying information. • Negotiate lease terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements for both the property owner and tenants. • Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities using property management software such as OneSite. • Upsell additional services and amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and increase revenue. • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, utilizing conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively. • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards. • Stay informed about Section 8 housing regulations and assist eligible applicants in the leasing process. • Provide administrative support related to leasing activities, including preparing lease documents and maintaining tenant files. Experience • Proven experience in sales or a customer service role, preferably within the real estate or property management industry. • Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and relevant laws governing leasing practices. • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively. • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus. • Knowledge of OneSite or similar property management software is highly desirable. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building relationships with clients and tenants.
