Full Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all administrative and departmental functions in assisting the management teams. May support multiple managers and/or department heads. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides departmental administrative support, maintaining calendars, triage calls, records, meeting minutes, correspondence, filing and faxing. • Maintains accurate up to date medical records in accordance with regulations of Medicare and the Policy and Procedure Manual. • Responsible for gathering and document management of employee and vendor files • Inputs data into computer for billing purposes • Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; greets patients, customers and visitors. • Manage multiple assignments effectively; perform basic math functions; organize and prioritize workload. • Coordinate and support/education meetings. Attend interdisciplinary group meetings. • Participation is needed in the budget preparation for program development. • Participates in providing, reviewing and revising written policies and procedures. • Performs other duties as needed. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Associate’s degree or two years of college required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. • Minimum three years of secretarial, clerical or administrative experience required, preferably in healthcare, academic, psychiatric and/or outpatient setting. • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required. • Able to type 40 wpm; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and HospiceMD). • Works independently with minimal supervision. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 per week Work Location: In person
