Director of Supply Chain & S&OP Implementation Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) Department: Operations / Supply Chain Reports to: VP of Operations About The Role We are seeking a results-driven Director of Supply Chain & S&OP Implementation to lead our demand planning, inventory strategy, and cross-functional supply chain processes. This leader will evolve scalable S&OP frameworks, optimize retail and DTC operations, and drive systems integration to improve visibility and execution across global channels. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in retail/wholesale and eCommerce environments, with deep expertise in S&OP, ERP/Planning systems, and inventory management. They will partner with leadership across Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and Product to build a disciplined, data-driven process that supports growth, profitability, inventory optimization and service excellence. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and execution of the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning executive, finance, and operations teams. • Drive inventory strategy across retail, wholesale, and DTC channels to optimize service levels, reduce excess/obsolete stock, and improve working capital efficiency. • Implement and enhance ERP/Planning system integration and reporting dashboards to improve forecast accuracy, inventory visibility, and decision-making throughout our 3PL and channel partners. • Partner with Product and Merchandising teams to integrate product lifecycle management (PLM) into demand and supply planning. • Create SOPs and scalable best practices for supply chain execution. • Manage strategic vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, performance, and cost optimization. • Driving excellence in OTIF metrics across 3PL and internal warehouses. • Develop and monitor KPIs (forecast accuracy, DIFOT, inventory turns, margin impact, markdown liability) to measure and improve planning effectiveness. • Champion cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT to ensure integrated material planning and timely execution of growth initiatives. Qualifications • 10+ years of progressive supply chain, demand planning, or operations leadership experience in retail, wholesale, or DTC businesses. • Demonstrated success leading S&OP/IBP implementations and improving forecasting accuracy at scale. • Strong background in inventory optimization and procurement strategy, with measurable results in reducing excess stock and improving turns. • Hands-on experience with ERP/Planning systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE, Anaplan, etc.) and advanced analytics/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI). • Proven ability to integrate systems and processes across multiple functions and regions. • Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing and developing cross-functional teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field required; Master’s degree or APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
