Role Summary The Cloud Security Lead Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end security architecture for the organization's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role ensures a consistent and scalable security architecture across network, identity, workloads, data, and governance domains. The role establishes security standards, reference architectures, and design guardrails that enable secure cloud adoption while balancing security, compliance, and delivery speed. Key Responsibilities • Define and maintain enterprise cloud security architecture for GCP and GRC. • Provide architectural guidance across identity, network, workload, data, and platform security. • Review cloud solution designs to ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements. • Establish security guardrails and governance for cloud implementations. • Drive adoption of secure-by-design principles and security automation. • Assess security risks and recommend appropriate architectural controls. • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend secure adoption strategies. • Mentor engineering teams on cloud security best practices. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in information security, including cloud security architecture. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Strong knowledge of GRC, cloud security principles, IAM, network security, workload protection, data security, and governance.
