Title: Application Project Manager Type: Full Time Schedule: On-site Location: Houston, TX Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of application development projects. The ideal candidate will oversee cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure the successful deployment of high-quality software applications that meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with project goals. • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues. Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical teams. • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery. • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource utilization to ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget. • Quality Assurance: Ensure applications meet quality standards through effective testing, validation, and deployment processes. • Agile Methodology: Implement and manage Agile or hybrid project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to drive iterative development and continuous improvement. • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party vendors or contractors, ensuring deliverables meet project requirements and timelines. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, progress reports, and post-project evaluations. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years managing application development or software implementation projects. • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), programming languages, and technologies such as Java, Python, .NET, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.). • Skills: • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project, or Asana). • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities. Passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with enterprise-level application deployments. • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines). • Background in managing projects in industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
