Founding Engineer (Rust), Florida on site (or remote for strong talent), Between $150-200K Founding Engineer (Rust) sought for a well-funded and exciting startup who are growing out their founding engineering team. They're building a next generation cybersecurity for critical infrastructure with a focus on energy systems. Their tech protects assets at the edge (solar/storage/EV systems) and they're doing some really exciting things at the intersection of energy, security and climate resilience. We're looking for a Founding (Rust) Engineer to join the team to lead design and development of software solutions for distributed energy resources. It's a hugely varied role - interchanging between users, working on software architecture and focusing on product development. This role is offering between 140-200K base + equity (lower equity, higher base or the other way round depending on preference). Skills: • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Tech or related field • 3+ years of software engineering experience • Bonus points for energy/security industry experience • Well-versed in Rust programming (C++ backup) for embedded and distributed systems • Nice to have - experience working with network communications protocols (QUIC, TCP/IP, UDP) • Proven ability to build software from scratch If you're looking for a new challenge and enjoy working with Rust, please apply within!
