This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. As a Senior Member Technical Staff (OSS Software Developer), you'll help transform next-generation Operational Support Systems (OSS) that power network operations, service delivery, automation, and operational intelligence. You'll work hands-on across the full software development lifecycle while integrating AI-driven capabilities that improve efficiency, automation, and operational decision-making. Join a team modernizing critical Operational Support Systems through advanced software engineering, cloud-native technologies, automation, data intelligence, and AI innovation. You'll help shape the future of operational excellence by building intelligent platforms that improve network performance, accelerate service delivery, and enable autonomous operations at scale. What You'll Do: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable OSS applications supporting: Service Provisioning Service Activation Workflow Orchestration Operational Intelligence Automation and Self-Healing Operations Build cloud-native software solutions using modern application architectures and engineering best practices. Develop APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, user interfaces, and system integrations. Design and implement Generative AI solutions that enhance operational workflows and engineering productivity. Develop Agentic AI capabilities, including autonomous agents, task planners, workflow engines, and AI-powered operational assistants. Apply data analytics and intelligence solutions across provisioning, inventory, assurance, order management, and network operations data sets. Collaborate with architects, product owners, network engineers, QA teams, and operations partners to deliver business-critical solutions. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design sessions, and modernization initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production, application, integration, and data-related issues. Drive OSS modernization initiatives using cloud-native architectures, automation, and AI-powered operational capabilities. Build reusable frameworks, components, and automation tools that improve engineering efficiency and scalability. Ensure solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise engineering standards. Stay current on emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, Cloud Computing, OSS Modernization, and Network Automation. What You'll Bring: You are a highly technical software engineer who enjoys solving complex operational challenges through software, automation, analytics, and AI innovation. You thrive in fast-paced engineering environments and are passionate about building scalable platforms that improve operational efficiency. Preferred Experience: OSS/BSS platform development and modernization Telecommunications, broadband, fiber, wireless, or network operations environments Service provisioning, activation, inventory, assurance, diagnostics, or order management platforms Workflow orchestration and automation platforms Event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka TM Forum APIs and telecom integration standards Legacy application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives Operational analytics, reporting platforms, and data visualization solutions Production support, root cause analysis, and incident management Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Generative AI application development Large Language Model (LLM) integrations Prompt Engineering Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Vector Databases and Semantic Search AI-Powered Workflow Automation Agentic AI Frameworks Tool Calling and Function Calling Multi-Agent Workflows Autonomous Task Planning Natural Language Interfaces AI-Powered Recommendation and Diagnostic Systems Responsible AI Design and Governance What You'll Need 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering principles Experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience building and supporting distributed, scalable applications in production environments Knowledge of cloud-native application development concepts and technologies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills Our Senior Member of Technical Staff jobs earn between $139,000.00 - $233,500.00 USD Annual.
