We aim to transform healthcare with timely, relevant real-world evidence. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a full-stack engineer with a strong focus on software design skills, testability, and CI/CD automation, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our software environments, contributing to both backend and frontend development using Python/Django and modern front-end stacks like React. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain both backend and frontend components of our applications using Python/Django and React. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best practices. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes. Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs. Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards to maintain high code quality. Implement front-end monitoring and performance tools. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our applications are current. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Minimum Qualifications At least 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer, with significant experience in full-stack development. Strong proficiency in Python for backend development. Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, and a solid understanding of ECMAScript 2025 features. In-depth knowledge of front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, or similar) and test-driven development (TDD). Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with cloud infrastructures, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases. Solid understanding of web security best practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF). Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Healthcare related experience is a plus Knowledge or equivalent experience working in environments handling sensitive data (ex PHI in healthcare) Reporting The Senior Software Engineer reports to an Atropos Software Engineering Manager.
