About the Role Atlassian is looking for an International Tax Senior Manager to join our Global Tax Team, reporting into our Head of US Tax Planning. In this pivotal role, you’ll contribute to the global tax strategy that will empower the company as it navigates the ever-evolving global tax environment. This role will contribute to the development of tax-efficient structures, ensure compliance with complex US international tax laws and regulations, and partner cross-functionally to support business strategy. Responsibilities In this role you will: Develop, model and execute US international tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s global effective tax rate, cash tax position, and operational efficiency. Identify and manage tax risks associated with cross-border transactions and operations. Provide strategic guidance on tax-efficient structures and processes, including US international impacts of transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements and IP planning. Manage the calculations and provide technical guidance on all US international tax matters, including but not limited to NCTI, FDDEI, BEAT, Subpart F, IRC Sections 986/987, and foreign tax credit. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams and external advisors to assess tax implications of business activities, new initiatives and cash tax forecasting. Support M&A projects through tax due diligence, evaluation of transaction structures, post-acquisition integration, and ongoing compliance management. Monitor global tax developments, including OECD Pillar Two, digital services tax trends, and US legislative changes; assess impacts and communicate recommendations to leadership. Drive process improvements, including automation opportunities, technology adoption, and scalable workflows to support a growing global footprint Qualifications On your first day, we'll expect you to have: CPA and/or JD Master of Taxation or other advanced degree required. Minimum 10 years working experience in a combination of Big 4 and corporate tax department with multinational operations. Strong knowledge of US international tax laws and regulations (Subpart F, NCTI, FDDEI, BEAT, FTCs) and OECD/G20 frameworks. Strong understanding of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, including provision review, uncertain tax positions, and global tax reporting Advanced Excel and analytical skills including experience developing forecasting models and using tax forecasting tools. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are: Zone A: USD 175500 - USD 229125 Zone B: USD 158400 - USD 206800 Zone C: USD 145800 - USD 190350 This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
