About the position Atlas OT is a premium systems integrator specializing in industrial automation, controls engineering, and lifecycle operational technology support. We partner with clients across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial EPC environments to deliver safe, compliant, and high‑performance automation solutions. Our work blends engineering rigor, field‑ready execution, and transparent project delivery. We are expanding our project execution team with a Project Manager who understands the realities of industrial automation work—someone who can bridge engineering, construction, and client expectations with clarity, discipline, and technical fluency. The Project Manager – Industrial Automation leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of automation and controls projects across the full lifecycle: design, procurement, fabrication, testing, commissioning, and turnover. This role requires strong familiarity with industrial EPC workflows and the technical depth to collaborate with senior controls engineers, instrumentation specialists, and client engineering teams. You will own project scope, schedule, budget, risk, documentation, and communication—ensuring every deliverable meets Atlas OT’s standards for safety, compliance, and technical excellence. Projects will range from oil and gas, water and wastewater, manufacturing, building automation, power, food and beverage and more. Responsibilities • Lead automation and controls projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout. • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost forecasts. • Coordinate engineering deliverables including P&IDs, I/O lists, control narratives, cause‑and‑effect matrices, network architectures, and FAT/SAT documentation. • Manage procurement of instrumentation, control panels, networking hardware, and automation components. • Oversee panel fabrication, staging, and testing activities with internal and external vendors. • Support field execution, commissioning, and startup activities as needed. • Uphold and improve quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards Requirements • 5+ years of experience managing industrial automation, controls, or instrumentation projects. • Strong understanding of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems (Rockwell, Siemens, or similar). • Familiarity with EPC project workflows, engineering deliverables, and construction interfaces. • Experience with industrial instrumentation, control panels, and field commissioning. • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control system documentation. • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk in a technical environment. • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills. • Proven ability to architect and implement complex, multi -platform control systems across multiple sites • Strong knowledge of UL, NEC, ISA, and IEC standards; proficiency in process safety and functional safety systems • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; advanced certifications preferred (ISA CAP, PE License – Control Systems) • Minimum of 12,000 project hours logged, including system architecture and multi -site implementations (8+ years experience) • Prior experience developing and reviewing control narratives, P&IDs, and safety systems (SIS) • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a knowledge -sharing culture • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed • Drug -free workplace compliance required Benefits • Hybrid / Flexible schedule work • Company sponsored training and certifications • PPE Reimbursement Program • \$50/month Cell Phone Reimbursement • Paid Time off for all Federal Holidays (11 total) • 120 hours / year of accrued Paid Time Off (inclusive of 10 Vacation and 5 sick days) • Merit Based Rewards and Bonuses such as • Quarterly Bonus • Employee recognition • New Employee Referral Bonus • Pick your tax advantage bonus - elect to get tax -free contributions to education expenses such as tuition assistance, dependent care, and retirement. • Large group medical, vision and dental coverage • For HSA eligible plans, employer HSA contribution equal to employee contribution up to federally allowable limits • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer contributions matching employee contributions up to 5% or federally allowable limits. • Group Term Life and AD&D Coverage • Employer Provided Disability Plans • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Employee Perks Program • Voluntary Employee Programs, including: • Pet Insurance • Critical Illness • Accident Plan • Legal Shield • ID Shield
