Manage customer accounts to collect payments, resolve disputes, and maintain communication to ensure account accuracy and recovery.
Requires 3 years of relevant collections experience, an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Your role • Collect on customers’ accounts, both past due and proactive collections, by working and clearing UDM Worklist daily. • Handle incoming calls and emails from customers regarding their invoices, including documenting the communication with the customer and responding appropriately. • Notify the Credit Analyst, Sales, and RBC of any ongoing payment issues with a customer’s account. • Recommend accounts for bad debt provision and/or third-party collections. • Identify, research, and distribute disputed invoices. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure they are resolved. • Research and resolve short and partial payments. • Complete Online billing as required by customers. • Submit and Process Credit Memos on Customer Accounts. • Process Credit Card Payments. • Back-up Credit Analyst as required. • Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers. • Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. • Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done. • Portfolio management of 400 – 700 active customers ranging $100-$1M at any given time. • Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems. Must possess the ability to foresee, react, and offer solutions; probe for hidden information; analyze honestly and look beyond single solution answers. • Sign off on conditional/unconditional lien releases. • Perform other duties as assigned To succeed, you will need Experience – 3 years of directly relevant experience. Education – Associates Degree in business or equivalent experience (5-6 years). Skills – Must be an independent self-starter with a positive attitude. Must also be customer-service oriented, have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Proficiency in SAP software applications is a plus.
