Atlanta Plastic & Reconstructive Specialists is a high-touch plastic surgery practice focused on delivering a supportive, patient-centered experience across reconstructive and aesthetic care. We’re seeking a polished, organized Patient Care Coordinator to guide patients through their surgical journey after consultation. Position Summary This is not a front-desk role. Working from a private office, you will become the patient’s main point of contact after their surgical consult. Responsibilities include presenting quotes, coordinating scheduling, managing insurance submissions, and preparing patients from decision-making through day-of-surgery. Key Responsibilities Post-Consult Coordination • Meet with patients in our scheduling consult room following their surgical consultation. • Present quotes for aesthetic procedures and review next steps. • Coordinate scheduling for both aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries. • Serve as the patient’s primary contact leading up to surgery. Surgical Scheduling • Schedule surgeries with hospitals, surgery centers, and the physician. • Send instructions, consents, and pre-op requirements. • Track labs, clearances, and imaging to ensure completion. • Manage changes, cancellations, and adjustments. Insurance (Reconstructive Surgery) • Submit authorizations and required documentation. • Track approvals and update patients. • Communicate with referring offices Aesthetic Case Support • Present accurate quotes and discuss payment options. • Assist patients with booking and pre-surgical preparation. • Coordinate financing options if needed. Qualifications • Experience in a medical office or patient-facing healthcare role. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Preferred: experience in surgical scheduling, plastic surgery, dermatology, OB/GYN, ENT, or similar specialty.
