Our site location is in St. Louis, MO for a multi-location wholesale distributor. Leaders in this role are responsible for defining and implementing organizational processes and procedures for a large site location. In this role you will work under a local Division Manager and in collaboration with Headquarters Management Group and contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. This position interacts with employees at all levels of organization, directly manages all non-selling activities within the division, and collaborates with other employees at all locations. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the division’s business -- specifically, develop / support better management reporting, information flow and business processes across the location divisions. • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics within the Division as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions. • Management tracking of Facility assets for warehouse and company fleet. • Assist in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence. • Oversee management, planning, systems and controls of the division and collaborate w/ employees to improve as required. • Development of individual program budgets / justifications. • Local payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits. • Supervise and coach employees on a daily basis. • Maintain fleet and driver records for file and reporting. • Manage annual physical inventory for location • Negotiate programs with logistics vendors and principal liaison with outside logistics vendors. • Primary liaison within division relative to worker’s comp issues and logistics exposures. • Oversee organizational insurance requirements and work collaboratively with Headquarters to lessen exposure. • Interview / hiring oversight of Division personnel. • Leadership of Location Safety Program and Safety awareness initiatives. • Responsible for oversight / maintenance of Division facility assets / security. • Lead site contact responsible for communication to and from Headquarters and other divisions • Facilitate the selling effort in all that we do • Work with Division Manager to develop annual budget for submission to Headquarters. • Other task as directed by Leadership. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB • 4-year degree w/ complimentary logistics experience preferred • Infor Cloudsuite Distribution ERP or similar experience preferred • RF Warehouse management utility experience required • Fleet management preferred • Excellent computer skills and proficient in WMS, excel, word and outlook • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives. • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. • Budget oversight experience • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace • Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
