Description As a Field Deployment Engineer (FDE) at Atera, you will lead the onboarding and technical enablement of our most strategic and complex customers. This is a hybrid, highly customer-facing role that blends deep technical knowledge, project management, and solution design to drive customer success. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, designing and implementing scalable solutions, including onboarding our most advanced AI-powered automations. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Own end-to-end onboarding and technical implementation for strategic accounts Design tailored solutions using Atera’s full platform (RMM, PSA, and AI) Lead technical discovery, planning, deployment, and handoff Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience Provide expert guidance on prompt engineering and API based integrations Serve as the technical authority during customer engagements, including onsite visits as needed Build implementation plans that drive fast time to value and high product adoption Identify and escalate customer feedback and product enhancement opportunities Requirements What You’ll Need to Succeed: 3 – 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Deployment Engineer, Technical Consultant) Strong technical acumen in IT operations, RMM, PSA, or similar platforms - a must Hands-on experience with API integrations and scripting Experience in Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs - an advantage Practical understanding of prompt engineering and deploying AI-based solutions Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts Track record of delivering value quickly and driving software adoption Experience working directly with MSPs, internal IT teams, and enterprise customers Willingness to travel for occasional onsite customer visits Strong project planning and stakeholder management skills About Atera Atera is transforming the world of IT management with an all-in-one platform that unifies Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Professional Services Automation (PSA), and the industry’s first autonomous IT agent.
