Job Description: Position: Fractional Tech Manager (AI & Operations) Location: Remote: preferably applicants in Florida, California &Utah Employment Type: 1099 - Contract Pay Scale: $100 - $175/hr (DOE) Schedule: 10–25 hours per week to start About Us Our client is a holding company with a portfolio of businesses in healthcare staffing, non-medical home care, business process outsourcing (BPO) in Kenya, and direct-hire recruitment. Our mission is to scale operations efficiently while leveraging AI-enabled technology to transform how service businesses operate. Role Overview We are seeking a Fractional Tech Manager (10–25 hours per week to start) with strong AI expertise and business operations experience. This leader will work at the holding company level and partner with our operating companies to identify operational challenges, design AI-driven solutions, and oversee implementation. This is a contract role with potential to convert into a full-time executive position. Key Responsibilities • Audit current tech stack and workflows across operating companies (healthcare staffing, home care, BPO, recruiting). • Identify high-impact areas for AI/automation (credentialing, scheduling, payroll, client onboarding, marketing, customer support). • Design and implement AI-powered solutions (process automation, intelligent scheduling, chatbots, data entry automation, AI marketing tools). • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal AI playbooks. • Partner with leadership on tech due diligence during M&A activity. • Hire, manage, and develop a remote tech team based in Kenya, ensuring strong collaboration with U.S. operations. • Lead teams in building AI-powered software solutions that can be used internally and commercialized as B2B/SaaS products for the wider healthcare and staffing industries. • Build an AI-first culture by training staff on how to use AI tools effectively. Qualifications • Proven track record implementing AI/automation in real business operations. • Hands-on ability to integrate AI platforms (LLMs, RPA, workflow automation, APIs). • Strong understanding of business operations and service-based industries. • Experience hiring and managing remote global teams (preferably in Kenya or similar markets). • Experience in developing SaaS or B2B technology products from concept to market. • Excellent communication skills, ability to translate tech into business outcomes. Nice-to-Haves • Background in healthcare, staffing, or home care operations. • Experience with SaaS platforms like Wellsky (formerly ClearCare), HR/payroll systems, • ATS, CRM. • Exposure to international operations (especially U.S. and Africa). Compensation & Structure • Contract: 10–25 hours per week to start. • Competitive hourly rate ($100–$175/hr depending on experience). • Potential to expand into a full-time leadership role with equity/bonus tied to operational performance and product commercialization success.
