$200K - 400K a year
Design and implement advanced optimization algorithms and build high-performance systems for financial market applications.
Strong background in operations research or applied math, hands-on experience with MILP and major solvers, and proficiency in Python or C++.
🌍 Software Engineer (Optimization & Operations Research) | $200K–$400K | Fully Remote We are partnering with a global leader in trading technology to hire a Software Engineer with deep expertise in Optimization & Operations Research. This is a unique chance to work on complex market design and optimization problems that directly impact real-world financial markets. You’ll be solving problems at the frontier of research and industry — the kind you’d normally see in cutting-edge labs or solver companies, but applied at scale in live trading. What you’ll be working on: • Designing and implementing algorithms for combinatorial optimization and mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) • Building and deploying solutions using state-of-the-art solvers (Gurobi, HiGHS, CPLEX, Z3) • Developing large-scale, high-performance systems in Python and C++ • Applying advanced optimization methods to problems in market structure, allocation, and efficiency What we’re looking for: • Strong background in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science • Hands-on expertise with MILP, constraint solving, or combinatorial optimization • Experience with at least one major solver (Gurobi, CPLEX, HiGHS, Z3) • Strong coding skills in Python or C++ • Background in finance or trading is a plus, but not essential Why apply? • 💰 Compensation: $200K–$400K depending on experience • 🌍 Fully remote (US/EU time zones preferred) • 🚀 Work at the cutting edge of optimization with immediate impact in global markets If you’re an optimization specialist looking for your next big challenge, this is one of the most exciting opportunities on the market right now. 📩 Apply now or reach out for a confidential chat.
