Description ATAK Interactive is looking for a AEO & Performance Marketing Lead to help clients dominate the next frontier of search — combining AI-powered discovery with traditional SEO and other search engines. This role blends AI Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and traditional performance marketing into one strategic mission: helping brands show up, stand out, and scale in the new world of search beyond Google. You’ll lead integrated strategies that help businesses rank across Google Search, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and other AI-driven interfaces — combining data, content, and performance insights to drive measurable visibility, traffic, and conversions. This is not a maintenance role. It’s a pioneering position for someone who’s ready to redefine what performance marketing means in the age of AI. Key Responsibilities AEO & GEO Strategy Leadership Develop and execute AI Engine Optimization strategies that enhance brand presence across AI search, chatbots, and generative platforms. Map how structured data, entity optimization, and topic authority contribute to AI answer visibility and SERP + GenAI results. Lead the integration of AEO with traditional SEO, Paid Search, and Content strategies. Identify opportunities for zero-click visibility, AI summaries, and citation inclusion within AI-powered answers. Guide clients through the transition from keyword-based SEO to intent- and context-based AEO. Build frameworks to measure AI visibility, brand mentions, and share of voice across AI tools. Performance Strategy & Innovation Design full-funnel performance strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Organic, with AEO as a growth driver. Oversee campaigns on Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and Bing — ensuring data and creative complement AEO efforts. Translate analytics and AI insights into actionable campaign optimizations. Experiment with new ranking opportunities across AI summaries, citations, Knowledge Graphs, and SGE. Collaborate with content and technical teams to ensure websites are crawlable, structured, and semantically aligned for AI understanding. Client Leadership & Communication Lead client workshops to educate and align them on AI-era search strategy. Present insights that merge traditional KPIs (ROAS, CAC, CTR) with emerging AEO metrics (visibility in AI answers, generative mentions, SGE placements). Translate complex AI-search data into clear, actionable recommendations for executives. Drive strategic relationships built on experimentation, education, and measurable growth. Analytics, Measurement & Reporting Create unified reporting dashboards that blend Paid, Organic, and AI visibility data using Looker Studio, Databox, or similar tools. Develop proprietary AEO visibility tracking frameworks in collaboration with analytics and data partners. Analyze performance trends across traditional and generative platforms to uncover growth opportunities. Leadership & Mentorship Mentor the ATAK Team to evolve their skills toward AI-native optimization. Stay at the forefront of industry shifts, tools, and algorithm changes across Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and others. Identify automation, LLM-prompting, and data-layer opportunities to scale AEO impact. Qualifications 4–6+ years in Performance Marketing, SEO, or Growth Strategy roles, with a proven record of innovation and adaptation. Deep understanding of how AI and LLMs change search behavior, ranking models, and content delivery. Experience with or curiosity about AEO, GEO, and entity-based SEO frameworks. Strong command of: Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and/or Screaming Frog Structured data, schema markup, Knowledge Graph optimization Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and cross-channel analytics Familiarity with AI discovery tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude) and how to influence results within them. Analytical thinker who translates insights into narrative — you can explain how AI sees the web and how to win inside it. Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing strategy delivery. 2+ years of Agency experience is required.
