The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share for sales within an assigned territory. This role establishes strong end‑user relationships through consultative selling to guide customers and accelerate adoption across all channels. By building and managing a robust sales funnel, the BDM leverages CRM tools for accurate forecasting, disciplined account management, and consistent KPI achievement. This position identifies key decision makers and influencers to advance sales opportunities and convert specifications, while using technical product expertise to educate customers, promote new solutions, recommend upgrades, and align MRO strategy with customer needs to maximize value and long‑term business growth. The Business Development Manager-South/Central Texas is responsible for achieving annual sales goals focused on key accounts, contractors, architects, design/build partners, and products in alignment with the Company’s strategic plans. This position builds and manages a sales funnel/pipeline, converts contractors and partners to specify and standardize on Zurn Elkay products, and supports Zurn Elkay’s sales network. The Trade Show Manager leads the strategic development and execution of a highly effective channel marketing strategy that delivers sustainable results to support our customer loyalty and growth objectives. This position is responsible for enhancing the visibility and awareness of Zurn Elkay's portfolio of solutions and how they meet the specific needs of our customers and channel partners. The position works with key stakeholders to drive adoption of sales, via events, partnerships, sponsorships, and communication programs across strategic market segments & our commercial organization. • Create and execute strategic marketing plans for Trade Shows to drive channel engagement and product awareness in alignment with company growth goals • Deliver Sales Qualified Leads via in-person engagement at Trade Shows & Events • Increase the visibility of our products through the development of visual merchandising, marketing collateral, and sales support tools including event merchandising, procurement & management of vendors • Develop channel-specific training and communication plan for Zurn Elkay’s sales rep agencies and channel partners to optimize customer engagement with stocking and merchandising conversion opportunities • Serve as the liaison and communication conduit between Reps and Zurn Elkay’s Marketing teams • Oversee the development, management, and distribution of Rep communications and sales enablement tools • Develop and manage the strategic go-to-market channel and communication plans in support of product launches to ensure successful commercialization • Develop sales and marketing promotional strategies that achieve a measurable increase in brand awareness and incremental sales with key customer accounts • Lead the strategy and management for key trade shows and internal events reflective of Zurn Elkay’s sales and marketing goals that create a consistent and positive experience • Provide directional leadership on managing exhibit vendors, executing trade show plans, and coordinating the travel, transportation, logistics, and other key elements of each event as needed • Oversee the management of the Zurn Elkay Gear online store, overseeing all branded clothing and promotional items for the company, including our merchandising vendor relationship • Work closely with Marketing team to support ongoing priorities, including internal communication process, product presentations, trade shows, research, and competitive intelligence Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field • 5+ years of trade show exhibit experience with proven track record of improving ROI in regard to increased number of leads, qualified leads, and sales funnel contribution • Develop and maintain multiple action plans or projects simultaneously utilizing project management skills and working to deliver projects on time and within cost • Ability to perform financial analysis to drive maximum ROI of channel marketing promotions and events • Problem solving skills and results-driven approach • Ability to effectively organize work, prioritize and manage time effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and ever-changing tasks • Ability to act independently while collaborating with a variety of internal and external teams • Ability to advise and implement business brand strategies, positioning and guidelines to provide consistent messaging and brand standards for trade shows and events • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions • Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization’s goals • Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems • Ability to communicate effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including office, warehouse, convention, hotel, conference center and on-site as required • Ability and willingness to handle, carry, lift or transport show material, supplies and products as needed and ability to move within multiple locations while planning or on-site • Travel an estimated 15-25% to channel partner locations, trade shows and events Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 The compensation range(s) identified above are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
